Fall/Winter fishing

Hi Friends

For most of us the boating season has all but wound down for the year. If you enjoy enjoy some fishing from your boat during nice weather, give some fall/winter boat fishing a chance. We have some good fishing year around. Salmon, sturgeon, trout, and yes even bass, and catfish. If you like crab, remember the fall and winter are the best time of year. So give some winter fishing a try. You'll have less crowds, and plenty of fish.

Buyer beware

Now that fall is here, you will find alot of good deals out there on used boats. Beware though of a trend to dump boats with serious problems this time of year. Take advantage of pre-purchase inspection services offered by our company or one of several other companies. The point is, be an educated buyer. Don't get stuck with someone elses hidden problems. It could cost you thousands, if the motor is bad, or there is a bad dry rot issue. I have had several customers this year who have been burned, by those hidden problems. The cost of an inspection is far less than the cost of those repairs.

Cold weather

Now that we are getting cold at night, don't put off winterizing your boat motor. It's not worth waiting, and taking a chance of damaging your boat motor. Don't forget to winterize your interior also. dry it out good and cover. Put a big box of dry air inside to help keep it dry, and avoid mold and mildew issues in the spring.
